So you my have noticed that if you upgraded to Vista or have Vista that it took Netgear over 6 months to release drivers for there Zetera SC101 NAS.
5- Now, on the XP or Vista PC where the SCM is already installed and working well, run the registry editor (regedit) and go to 'HKEYLOCALMACHINE SOFTWARE Zetera Client' key. Right-click on 'client', select 'export', and save this reg key along with all subkeys as 'SC101.reg' to either a floppy disk or usb flash drive. Zetera is a small startup company founded in 2002 by several engineers from Western Digital. Possessing innovative technologies (Z-SAN/SoIP) and ready network storage solutions based on the IP protocol (in fact, the file system belongs to its partner — DataPlow ), the company makes its living by licensing its solutions to third-party.
The Problem:
When installing the latest SCM utility and drivers you receive an error “Failed to install the Z-SAN SCSI miniport driver” or similar.
The Resolution:
If your installation already failed and the setup software tells you to restart, you must do so.
Next restart the installation. Select Customchange the default installation directory to anything but the default and then continue. The software should install perfectly now.
