Generic Windows DriversIoline does not write generic Windows drivers. Most sign-making software includes the necessary drivers to connect an Ioline plotter to your computer. If your design software does not come with its own drivers, there are other ways to send the design to the plotter. For example many of the sign-making software companies, such as Scanvec-Amiable®, and others, have products that can import files from popular graphic applications such as CorelDRAW!®, FreeHand®, Adobe Illustrator®, and other graphics programs. These products are generally much less expensive than a full sign making software package. Contact the software manufacturers for further information. Third party HP/GL drivers called Winline Plus and CoCut is used with various Windows® programs and Ioline equipment. Does the Navigator and it's supporting Windows software work on Windows 10 on a PC or Laptop? The short answer is that the underlying structure of Windows 10 is still quite similar to earlier versions, and the connection to the PC, and functions of the software are still very much the same as they were previously. So, yes, you can run the supporting software for your Navigator on a Windows 10 machine. The supporting software includes the following:
Allows Sync mode connection to your PC
Allows you to perform updates to the street mapping on your Navigator
Allows you to send/receive 4WD data (waypoints, tracks, routes) between your PC and your Navigator. You can also view the same set of maps which are installed on your Navigator on your PC. Here are a few tips to keep in mind: To install the Hema Navigator Explorer PC software from the SD card in your Navigator, it must be connected in Mass Storage mode, as per: USB Mass Storage Mode connection to PC Remember, to use the Hema Navigator Explorer application on your PC, your Navigator needs the USB port to be in Windows Sync mode! See this article in our Knowledgebase for more info: To connect the Navigator to the PC in Windows Sync mode, the PC must have Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) installed on it. WMDC is NOT pre-installed on Windows 10, but is IS downloaded automatically by Windows Update on your PC, IF automatic Windows updates are enabled. You MUST make sure that you have enabled Windows Update in the settings on your Windows 10 PC for it to automatically install WMDC.
